Silverdale Lutheran is a Christian congregation. We are joyfully committed to sharing and celebrating the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. We worship in a variety of styles of music while using a pattern of worship (liturgy) that reaches back to the earliest days of Christianity. Our worship services focus on hearing the Word of God (Jesus and his message) and responding to the message in praise, prayer, and thanksgiving. We share and celebrate the meal that Jesus gave us each week as we believe in this meal Jesus is truly present with us. We are confident that even if you are not familiar with this form of worship, you will hear and encounter God’s gracious love and forgiveness in Jesus for you and our world. Worship at Silverdale Lutheran is an art form in which beginners and the experienced join equally in honoring and praising God.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the once and for all self revelation of God. This self-revelation of God we call the Gospel (good news) which discloses both who God is and what God wants for our world. Bottom line, we believe God loves us and calls us to love as God has loved us in Jesus.
We are a community that has all generations present. We have many young families and a strong youth ministry and have many people who are in the middle ages of life and beyond. We treasure this diversity and look to God to increase our diversity both in ethnicity and in our backgrounds.
The “Lutheran” in our name is an adjective. Lutheran names both our heritage and our unique expression of the Christian faith. At the heart of our Lutheran perspective is the conviction that God’s benefits are a gift, freely given and received by faith.
Please know that you are welcome at Silverdale Lutheran and it is our prayer that you know God’s love in Jesus.
