2012 Season of Lent
Lenten Wednesday Worship and Program
“Come and See: Learning to Share the Story of God’s Grace With Others”
Our Lenten theme this year is "
Come and See." Sharing our faith and invit-ing others to come to know and love Jesus will be the focus of our Lenten discipline this year. This theme is also the next area of focus for our Natural Church Development ―Connectors‖ who are helping us work on our mini-mum factor (growth area) of Passionate Spirituality. During our Wednesday services [11:30-12 Noon and 6:45-7:15 p.m.], we will hear different people tell their faith stories to model what telling our story might look like. Most of us struggle with putting our faith in words, and yet it is a big part of living out our commitment to Christ. So we will talk about the different arenas in our lives where there are opportunities to invite others to come and see what God is doing in the world—at church, home, in our community, with our friends and at work or school. The sharing will be followed by a Bible lesson and teaching by the pastors. You will even get to practice some sharing dur-ing worship. Please plan to make Wednesday worship a part of your Lenten discipline this year.
Don’t forget also to come at 6 p.m. for our soup suppers prior to the Wednesday night worship services. Moreover, Manna Bible study will still meet on Wednesday mornings but will go from 10:45-11:30a.m.

Weekly Labyrinth Walks in Lent
Are you interested in adding a new opportunity for meditation and prayer during Lent? Join us on Wednesday nights from 5:30-6 pm,
February 22 - March 14, for a chance to walk our new labyrinth. Congregation member Carol Wedeven will be on hand to answer questions. Labyrinth walks are scheduled to catch the last light of the day and give participants time for the soup supper before Lenten Service. A sign-up sheet is available in the office if you'd like to indicate your interest.
